2014: The Year in University Recruiting

2014 is rapidly coming to a close. But before you pick out your sparkliest New Year’s outfit or break out the party poppers, let’s take a moment to reflect on the past year.

Here on the AfterCollege Employer Blog, we’ve covered some major topics in university recruiting like employer branding, storytelling, and the power of building relationships on campus.

We reported on industry events like the NACE 2014 Conference, the University Recruiting Trends Symposium at Stanford, and the MPACE 2014 Conference.

And we’ve talked to employers like EY, Salesforce, and eBay Inc. to gain insight into their best practices and share their tips with you.

We’re also lucky enough to get some insights directly from students. We shared their tips on building a better internship program, encouraging on-the-job shadowing, and handling tuition reimbursement.

Finally, we tapped into the AfterCollege network of 1.3 million students to discover their perspective on employer branding and university recruiting effectiveness. College students and recent grads can indicate their interest on our site by choosing to follow employers, and we crunched the numbers to learn which employers are most popular by industry. We compiled the results in this handy infographic.
